πŸ“Ή Should you start a YouTube Channel (did Alice serve the Bradys leftovers?) πŸ•Ί

Featured Podcast of the Week: πŸŽ™ Episode 64: Building a YouTube Channel with Repurposed Content

If you know nothing else about me, know this: I repurpose content as often as Alice dusted the Brady house.

{Daily.}

(I like to work smart, not hard, see? Said in my most authentic Jimmy Stewart voice, which has nothing to do with the Bradys nor this email.)

Anyhoo.

My guest, Travis Albritton spills the tea (as the young folks say) on why you should (build a YT channel), what to do first (it's easy) and how to gain momentum.

➑️ Listen to episode 64 on Spotify, apple, google, or straight from this here link.

Personally, I think Alice should have repurposed some of those meals ("Hey Alice, what's for DINNER?") for those giant lunch sacks she shoved at the kids on their way to school.

And for crying out loud, just serve leftovers for dinner. Why cook when you can eat what you already have?

Remember that πŸ‘† the next time you write an Instagram post, newsletter, or podcast script.

Don't reinvent the wheel, just eat the leftovers.

And listen to the podcast on how to repurpose yours.

Step into my {messy} writing shed

Actually it's an office, but doesn't shed sound romantic and Earnest Hemmingway-ish?

As you know, I'm in the beginning stages of writing and releasing a book in 2023.

I kinda sorta have an idea of what it's about, but it's one of those things where you just start writing to know what's up.

(As in, my brain.)

So here's a peek, and just know that this is the super scrawly, slipshod beginning, unedited. Fresh out of my brain and onto the Google doc.

You're welcome, and I'm sorry.

I AM WRITING A BOOK!! YAHHHHHH!!
I wonder what it’ll be about? Everyone is excited to find out including me!

Ideas: my life repurposed, the accidental entrepreneur, my life on RV time, raising kids and letting go, all of the caregiving, how to take the next step in life and what the heck even is it

In the beginning, all I wanted was to play the piano. That would be at age four. I never lost that passion (except for the brief stint in my pre-teens when I decided I didn’t want to practice but my mom and dad both backed me out of the kitchen and into the living room and onto the piano bench from whence I had just come and said we have too much invested now, yes you are).

Later in my teens I decided to major in music in college and then marry a preacher.

I did the first but far from the latter. (My husband will laugh at that.)

I actually married the Christian college rebel and nobody thought it would last.

SURPRISE! We’re 35 deep. (Years, that is.)

After I didn’t marry the preacher, my new goal was to have a large family (a decision stemming from only child syndrome and lots of imaginary playmates). So, I aimed for 6 but quit at 3. Then I had the surprise number 4. Then I drove Jim to the hospital for a vasectomy. Mind you, I was 5 months pregnant with number four and zero chance that was happening again.)

That's all I'm brave enough to share. What do you think? No, don't tell me. I haven't even been to publishing school yet.

I'll keep you posted on progress. (Lord, please let there be progress. I want Ernest to be proud, even if I don't have a shed.)
